Impact Johnson has been a three-point sniper all season (39.2 percent from deep on the year), but he hadn't hit three triples since before the MAC Tournament began. That changed in the title game win over Miami (OH), as Johnson filled it up from deep and finished with a solid 15 points as Akron's second-leading scorer -- fitting, considering he was the Zips' second leading scorer during the season (13.0 points per-game).

Impact Johnson followed his 31-point effort in the MAC Tournament semifinal with a clean 22-point showing to take home the title. Johnson has been the Zips' leading scorer all season, and it was especially promising to see him bounce back with two straight big-time performances following a three-point, 1-of-9 showing in the Tournament opener. If Akron's leading scorer can get going in the NCAA Tournament, the Zips could have a shot to pull off a stunning upset.
