Back in lineup Correa (wrist) is starting at shortstop and batting fifth against Atlanta on Friday.
Impact Correa tweaked his left wrist against the Mets on Tuesday. He underwent an MRI and missed Wednesday's contest, but the injury doesn't appear to be of much concern as he's back in the lineup for Friday's series opener. Correa has begun the season slashing .164/.227/.246 with five walks, five runs scored and four RBI in 66 plate appearances.

Twins to place Wallner on injured list with hamstring strain, believe Correa's sore wrist is minor

The Minnesota Twins will place right fielder Matt Wallner on the 10-day injured list with a strained left hamstring

Could be available off bench Twins manager Rocco Baldelli indicated that Correa (wrist) could be available off the bench Wednesday versus the Mets, LaVelle E. Neal III of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports.
Impact There's no word yet on the results of the MRI on Correa's left wrist, but the fact that he might be available to enter mid-game suggests Baldelli isn't overly concerned about his shortstop's health. Correa was lifted for a pinch hitter in Tuesday's contest with soreness in his wrist after fouling a pitch off. Consider him day-to-day.

Won't start Wednesday Correa (wrist) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mets.
Impact After fouling off a pitch during his third plate appearance of the night in the fifth inning of Tuesday's 6-3 win, Correa was seen shaking his left hand in discomfort and was visited on the field by manager Rocco Baldelli and a team trainer. Following a brief conversation, Correa was lifted for a pinch hitter, and the Twins relayed afterward that he was dealing with a sore left wrist. He'll sit out Wednesday's series finale and will undergo an MRI as the Twins look to glean more information regarding the extent of the injury. Willi Castro will fill in for Correa at shortstop Wednesday, opening up a spot in the starting nine at third base for Brooks Lee.

Pulled with hand injury Correa was removed from Tuesday's game against the Mets due to a left hand injury, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Impact Correa was favoring his left hand/wrist after taking a swing in the fifth inning, and he had to leave the game without finishing his at-bat. The Twins' medical staff will take a look at him and should have an update in the near future. If the 30-year-old infielder ends up needing to miss time, Brooks Lee would be next in line for more starts at shortstop.
