Kasean Pryor will return to Louisville basketball for 2025-26 season. What to know Kasean Pryor is running it back with Louisville basketball and Pat Kelsey in 2025-26 after a knee injury cut short his fifth collegiate seas...
APRIL 22 • COURIER-JOURNAL.COM
Returning to Louisville Pryor has announced his decision to return to Louisville for the 2025-26 season, per his personal X.com account.
Impact Pryor, who suffered a season-ending torn ACL in late November, will return to Louisville for another season. The 6-foot-10 senior, who appeared in just seven games last season, averaged 13 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.7 blocks across 32 games (31 starts) with USF during the 2024-25 season. Pryor, who was out to a fast start with the Cardinals before his injury, will look to be a centerpiece for Louisville this fall.

Louisville's Reyne Smith leaves game with lower leg injury in game against Cal

Reyne Smith left No. 14 Louisville’s game against California on Wednesday night with an apparent lower leg injury
MARCH 6 • ASSOCIATED PRESS
Out for remainder of season Pryor (knee) is out for the remainder of Louisville's 2024-25 season, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
Impact Pryor's left ACL is torn, the kind of injury that shuts down any season any time it occurs. As a result, Louisville's team is left without the man who was considered to be its starting center moving forward. Pryor's 2024-25 output was reminiscent of his South Florida season, which is what the Cardinals pined for when they got him. He will finish it with 12.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.1 blocks per game in seven games (three starts). For now, James Scott is next in line to be Louisville's starting center, and more of a dire situation may result in the Cardinals considering bringing Aly Khalifa (redshirt) to the fold.

Exits game Friday Pryor (lower leg) left Friday's 69-64 loss against Oklahoma with a lower leg injury, Brooks Holton of the Louisville Courier Journal reports.
Impact Pryor limped to the locker room with the help of some Louisville' staff members just one minute into the second half. The 6-foot-10 senior transfer from USF was not able to return to the contest, and he was spotted in a wheelchair at the end of the bench in the final minutes of the game. Pryor will have a few days off to rest and recover before the Cardinals pick back up against Mississippi on Tuesday night.

Fills stat sheet Thursday Pryor recorded 13 points (4-11 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds, two assists, three blocks and one steal over 35 minutes during Thursday's 79-70 OT victory over West Virginia.
Impact Pryor was absolutely dominant in the OT win over West Virginia, ending just two boards away from a double-double but also filling the stat sheet admirably. Chucky Hepburn carried the team on offense with a 32-point effort, but Pryor certainly made his presence on both ends of the court. He's racked up 27 points, 15 rebounds, three blocks and three steals in two starts.

Scores 14 points in start Wednesday Pryor closed Wednesday's 89-61 win over Indiana with 14 points (7-13 FG, 0-3 3Pt), seven rebounds and two steals across 27 minutes.
Impact Pryor has struggled with consistency, but the forward has managed to score in double digits in three of his five outings. This was his first start of the campaign, and his fantasy upside should grow if he remains in the starting five going forward.
NOVEMBER 27, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Part of starting lineup Pryor is part of the Cardinals' starting lineup for their game Wednesday against Indiana at Paradise Island.
Impact Currently, Pryor is averaging 12.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.3 blocks for Louisville. So even if James Scott has been an adequate option in the Cardinals' frontcourt, it makes sense that their primary options now include the South Florida transfer.

Shines in win Tuesday Pryor posted 21 points (5-12 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 9-10 FT), seven rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal across 23 minutes during Tuesday's 100-68 win over Bellarmine.
Impact Pryor continues to play off the bench, but he was one of the Cardinals' top scorers and could be in line for a bigger role in the coming weeks due to the multi-week absence of Aboubacar Traore. Pryor has scored at least 18 points in two of his first three appearances this season.

Terrence Edwards Jr. and Kasean Pryor combine for 47 points as Louisville beats Bellarmine 100-68

Terrence Edwards Jr. scored 26 points and Kasean Pryor added 21 points as Louisville beat in-city foe Bellarmine 100-68

Shines off bench in opener Pryor recorded 18 points (5-10 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 7-9 FT), 12 rebounds, four assists, one block and three steals in 20 minutes during Monday's 93-45 win over Morehead State.
Impact The Cardinals dominated the game from start to finish, and Pryor was one of several players who posted strong stat lines. Despite coming off the bench, Pryor led Louisville in both scoring and rebounding, and it wouldn't be surprising if he sees more time in the coming games.
NOVEMBER 5, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Not part of starting lineup Sunday Pryor is not part of South Florida's starting lineup Sunday against Florida Atlantic.
Impact In place of Pryor, Corey Walker will be South Florida's starting center Sunday. Pryor's lineup omission is at least a little surprising, considering he is a taller match to compete against Florida Atlantic big man Vladislav Goldin and logged a double-double during each of his last two games.

DNP Friday Pryor (undisclosed) did not appear in Friday's 73-70 win over Alabama State.
Impact Pryor missed his first game of the season due to undisclosed reasons as the Bulls claimed their fifth-consecutive win. The 6-foot-10 junior has appeared in 10 games this season (four starts), averaging 9.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.2 steals on 21.7 minutes per game. Pryor's next opportunity to suit up will come on Thursday against Temple, but his expected status is unknown.
