Dealt loss Sunday Meyer (2-3) took the loss Sunday against the Mariners, allowing five runs on five hits and four walks while striking out six in four innings.
Impact Meyer's five runs and four walks allowed were both season-high marks. Sunday was also the first time this season he's failed to reach five innings pitched. He surrendered a first-inning home run to Cal Raleigh and allowed eight baserunners combined during the second and fourth inning leading to more runs for the Mariners. Meyer is still third in the majors with 47 strikeouts and will try to bounce back in a home meeting with the Athletics this coming weekend.

Steamrolls Reds Meyer (2-2) allowed five hits over six shutout frames Monday, striking out 14 and earning a win over Cincinnati.
Impact Meyer was nothing short of dominant in a career performance Monday. He gave up only one extra-base hit and didn't face much trouble outside of a two-on, one-out situation in the fifth inning. He fired 69 of 92 pitches for strikes and generated 24 whiffs. His slider alone forced 16 whiffs on just 21 swings. Meyer has punched out at least seven batters in four of his five starts this season and has not walked more than two in any of those outings. He's sporting an impressive 2.10 ERA with a 41:7 K:BB through 30 innings. Meyer is currently in line to start in Seattle this weekend.

Takes loss despite quality start Meyer (1-2) took the loss against the Diamondbacks on Wednesday. He allowed three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out eight across six innings.
Impact Wednesday was Meyer's third quality start of the season, during which he generated 18 whiffs while punching out eight batters for the second time in four starts. The 26-year-old right-hander still came away with the loss, with two of the three runs he yielded coming on solo home runs by Josh Naylor and Pavin Smith in the second and sixth innings, respectively. Meyer has 27 strikeouts in 24 innings, which ranks eighth in the National League. He's slated to make his next start next week at home against the Reds.
