Impact Iowa State was in this game in the first half, but Arizona State pulled away in the second half and Becht, along with the entire Cyclones' offense, didn't have an answer. The quarterback had a very solid regular season, and reportedly will return to Iowa State despite garnering interest from schools via the portal.

Impact Becht's 383 passing yards and three touchdown passes were both season-highs. He was forced into this production as the Cyclones fought from behind on the scoreboard for most of the game. The redshirt sophomore has completed 61.4 percent of his passes for 2,394 yards and 16 touchdowns compared to seven interceptions through nine games. Iowa State will host Cincinnati next week.
