With the Irish, Angeli tossed for 772 yards, 10 touchdowns and one interception.

Impact Collins transferred to Syracuse after two quiet seasons at LSU. In 2024, he completed all five of his passes for 35 yards. The gunslinger will have big shoes to fill, as he needs to replace Syracuse's starter from a season ago -- Kyle McCord -- who tossed for 4,779 yards and 34 touchdowns while completing 66 percent of his passes last fall.

Impact Clement has yet to log a statistic in his collegiate career, as he's been buried on the depth chart. Last fall, he was behind both Villari and Oronde Gadsden, the latter of which is off to the NFL. However, he's getting plenty of opportunities this spring with Villari limited, and could be in line for more snaps during the regular season if Villari's injury continues to nag him.

Impact Villari was hardly involved for the Orange last fall, reeling in six catches for 57 yards and missing the end of the season with an arm ailment. The tight end is slated to be the top option at the position in the wake of Oronde Gadsden's departure for the NFL, but he's currently ceding most of his reps to sophomore David Clement.

Impact The redshirt freshman tailback, who logged no stats in 2024 and only appeared in four games, appears to be at full strength as the Orange hold their spring practice period. James still figures to be buried on the depth chart this fall as Syracuse attempts to replace LeQuint Allen.

Will Nixon - Still limited in spring Nixon (foot) remains a limited participant in Syracuse spring practice despite being able to run around once again, per Syracuse.com.
Impact The tailback was lost for Syracuse's 2024 season in September, suffering a Lisfranc injury in Week 5. Nixon has reportedly been able to run around once again, and recently had screws removed from his left foot, indicating he's progressing with his recovery. Still, he's been a limited participant in spring ball and is not guaranteed to participate this spring. He's also wearing a non-contact jersey at this point in practice. The tailback figures to compete with Yasin Willis and Jaden Hart for the starting gig, but he won't be able to truly enter that competition until he's a full go.
